Our 1st graders are practicing their decoding skills! Each student held a letter and said its sound, while the rest of the class worked together to blend the sounds and read the word. Teamwork makes reading fun!

While on our research trip to the library, we got the chance to meet & chat with NJ State Assembly Members Flynn & Scharfenberger. They spoke to the students about the value of volunteer work, building positive relationships-even with opponents, & gave our Student Council Candidates solid campaign advice.

Community Partnerships students got the unique opportunity to tour the KFPL and conduct research for their first project with a community partner: designing a plan to make the downstairs library space more user friendly and welcoming. Stay tuned!
