January will find us jumping with many activities. We will continue our work with vowels. There are so many spellings and sounds. They can be tricky. The writing process of "plan, draft, edit, publish' will be used to convey our ideas and stories. The War of 1812 will be our first topic in Knowledge. That will be followed by Cycles in Nature. These are nonfiction topics. Math will find us exploring place value to the hundreds. We will use our knowledge of place value to compare numbers, write numbers, and add/subtract 3 digit numbers. Exploration of American Culture will be the Social Studies focus.
