Welcome to the fourth marking period. During this marking period, we will continue our work with vowel sounds and spellings. We will also explore some spelling alternatives for some consonant sounds. An informational text will be used for our decodable reading. Text features and gathering information from nonfiction will be practiced. Identification of the parts of speech will continue, with a focus on adverbs. Writing skills will be practiced. Math will continue with measuring. Then data (line plots) will be examined. Geometry will follow these topics. In Science, changes to the Earth's surface and ways to prevent/slow these changes will be explored. This will be followed by a look at habitats and plants.
