Second grade has gotten off to a great start. It is hard to believe the first marking period is almost over.

November will find us working with vowel sounds. We will enjoy more stories in our decodable: Bedtime Tales. Narrative writing will be practiced. Our study of Ancient Greek Civilizations will continue. In Math, we will work with 2-digit numbers. Both adding and subtracting will be practiced. Work with money and time is also in our future. Social Studies will find us exploring Goods and Services as well as producers (especially farmers). People who have made a difference in our world will be visited. There will be some discussions about some holidays and Native Americans.
