Mrs. Volpe's class welcomes our new student!

KCS Student Council Popcorn Fundraiser
Please support the KCS Student Council's Double Good Popcorn fundraiser! The fundraiser will be open through the end of the day Friday. Thank you so much for supporting our kids!

So thankful to have Meredith Comi, from the Urban Coast Institute (part of Monmouth University), return to speak to our 5th grade students about her work with oyster castles at Naval Station Earle. We loved how she connected her presentation to our deep oyster industry history right here at the Pearl of the Bayshore!!

A little snow isn't stopping our classroom basil! The kids said the room smells like pizza!

Big thanks to Mrs. Corsale for teaching our class about kindness and reading them the book Rainbow Fish. They loved making their own fish and showing ways to be kind!!

4 Quadrant Coordinate Plane mystery graphs are perfect for our delayed opening schedule today. Students who turn this in by Friday will receive a Slater Stamp. No spoilers!

Our class in action!

Our class family!

In preparation of the snowstorm, last week we made snowmen with a variety of materials and discussed proper clothing to wear in winter.

Kindergarten students have been learning lots of new "tricky words" in our CKLA skills curriculum. Students practice these new words by writing them, reading them, and building them with play-doh.

Enjoy your snow day KCS!

After enjoying Jan Brett's book, The Mitten, we made our own mittens. Look inside to see who has moved in them.

These cuties are hoping for some snow ! ☃️❄️

Love learning about new stories and plots in kindergarten! We love CKLA knowledge!!

The 5th grade has been very busy in Science class! We were lucky enough to have 2 guest speakers as part of our Coastal Classroom lessons. We also worked on labs to learn about matter.

Love that they choose to play a game instead of opting for screen time during recess! Uno fun!

When co-teachers work so well together, they begin to match each other’s teaching and dress styles!
