Yesterday, in Pre-K we got to visit a Fire Truck from the Keyport Fire Department! We learned all about Firefighters and how they are community helpers! We had such a great time, thank you KFD!
Our 4th-grade reading block got delightfully "noisy" today, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Students dove right into a second read alongside our district literacy coach, teaming up in small groups to read the text out loud. The ear always catches what the eye skims right past—and with our literacy coach right there in the huddle modeling expressive phrasing and sparking quick partner check-ins, speaking every sentence out loud brought the story straight to life. Reading aloud with peers turns comprehension from a quiet guessing game into an active, collaborative team sport where the real meaning finally clicks!
Today the class learned about the circulatory system and how the heart pumps blood throughout our body!
A huge shoutout to our Keyport Central School Chorus students for their performance at the Oakhurst Community Fair this past weekend! Our grades 4-8 Chorus did an amazing job singing for the Oakhurst crowd and representing our Keyport music program and community! 🎶
