Express Yourself Fridays in Art! 🎨
Today 6-7 grade students got to choose from three different art activities and decide how they want to create, explore, and express themselves. This week’s favorite was building with LEGOs and then drawing their creations when they finished! 🧱✏️
I love giving students the opportunity to have choice, creativity, and fun in the art room!
Congratulations to Tyler for receiving 6th grade Artist of the Month!
Our kindergarten artists learned about the bold, expressive artwork of Jean-Michel Basquiat and then put their own creative spin on it! 🎨 They drew colorful self-portraits inspired by his unique style, using fun lines, symbols, crowns, shapes, and lots of personality!
Our 7th graders got creative while designing colorful sugar skulls, bringing together imagination, culture, and lots of artistic flair!
A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Artist of the Month Savannah!

Today in Pre-K, we had so much fun learning all about cheeseburgers! We learned about the different ingredients that make up a cheeseburger, matched uppercase and lowercase cheeseburger letters, created our very own cheeseburgers on a plate, and colored cheeseburgers!
Mrs. Hubler and Mrs. McSpiritt worked on how we can respect our shared school spaces today! The students did so well.
