Finding resources tailored specifically to middle and high school literacy isn't always easy. That’s why I can’t wait to dive into "Reading ISN'T Optional: Fulfilling the Promise of Literacy for Secondary Students" edited by Jeanne A. Schopf.

I'm ready to use this to level up our instructional strategies and PD for next year. Our older students deserve strong, evidence-based support to succeed.

4th grade science students are learning about external structures of animals. One of our recent lessons was about mimicry and camouflage. My science room has butterflies hiding in plain sight, as inspired by that lesson. So cool! 🦋
