Monmouth University Climate Professional Development!

Our 1st graders in Mrs. Johnson’s class had a wonderful time celebrating their nonfiction writing! Students became young researchers and authors, writing informational books about puffins, river otters, reef sharks, and mandrills.
A special thank you to Ms. Heggerty’s 2nd grade class for being such a fantastic audience. They loved listening to our 1st graders read their books and shared their kindness by writing compliment cards for our young authors.

Congratulations to the following Artist that received Artist of the Month!

Room 8 worked so hard on their informational writing about animals!! ✏️

Mrs. Hegarty's class has now published 4 books! They're becoming the most amazing authors!

Preschool is awesome!

Reminiscing from last week's fun events surrounding Read Across America week in Kindergarten!!

Just hanging around on the playground!!

Day two of the KCS/KHS collaborative training sessions with our LinkIt/Magnolia consultant. What a gift to get the opportunity to work and learn together as a team!

Enjoying this warm weather while we can ☀️

6th grade is reviewing the MP3 Math test today. Students will receive their color score report along with a paper copy of the test. We are reviewing it and taking notes in class, so that students can take it home and study for tomorrow's retake. A pdf of the notes will be posted in our Google classroom as well, just in case students forget to bring it home. Students will keep the better of their two scores (test or retake).

Thank you to the families that attended yesterday's Bilingual Advisory Meeting! Our next and final meeting for this school year will be Tuesday, May 12th.
Now introducing our Curiosity Cabinet! A repurposed trophy case to display our current units and our models from science. 👍🏻
