What a productive three hours 👍🏻Thanks to Dr. Savoia, Mrs. Harrigan, CJ, and our amazingly enthusiastic and convincing NJHS students we had a productive day today and collected a large amount of cereal boxes and monetary donations. Thank you to all who donated and thank you parents for allowing these phenomenal young people to shine and represent Keyport Schools so well. ❤️🖤❤️ Our event will be this Friday, so there is still time to donate!!

So much fun at the KCS Book Swap today! Grades PreK-5th swapped 104 books! Thanks for helping the environment by reusing books (Fewer trees cut, less waste in landfills, & energy saved on transportation) in a way that was exciting! 📚

What a fantastic morning working with @littoralsociety and their Grasses in Classes educational program. We can’t wait to meet with Sammantha again for the planting in Asbury Park and our Sandy Hook seining trip. Highly recommended this program! Thanks to Dr. Savoia and Mr. Flynn for stopping by to meet Sam and to appreciate the time and effort we have all put into making this climate grant a success!

Food insecurity climate unit continued in Community Partnerships this week. After background work, students were given family scenarios & were asked to identify issues, challenges, and possible solutions for each group. The discussions were so meaningful & interesting!

Our Climate Grant Team took our KCS and KHS students to Jenkinson's Aquarium and had a fabulous time discussing climate issues and how they impact various animals and sea creatures. So proud of our students for being actively engaged learners and critical thinkers. And, hey we had lunch, and a lot of fun too! Who doesn't love hanging with a penguin?! 🐧😊
