To celebrate Earth Day, we are planting and caring for herbs! Through planting, watering, and caring for the herbs, students are learning about sustainability, responsibility, and the importance of taking care of our planet. We’re so proud of their green efforts—one herb at a time! 💚

Earth Day is approaching! Kindergarten students recently wrapped up an exciting CKLA Knowledge about Plants. They learned so much! One exciting bit of information that we learned about was the importance of pollination and how bees are just one of many pollinators that keep our Earth healthy and beautiful, by spreading pollen for flower reproduction. These photos show a culminating unit activity of Kindergarten students pollinating flowers with bees and glitter for pollen! After the bees landed on a flower, the glitter stuck to the bee's pipe cleaner legs, allowing for the glitter (pollen) to stick to the bee and then drop onto a different flower. They had a great time being "pollinators"!
