And...that's a wrap! Our summer program gave our students the opportunity to engage in many fun, academic climate/gardening based activities. Looking forward to continuing the work with fifth grade this school year!! 🌱
RRU students were hair stylists, meteorologists, architects, & engineers! Grass heads got haircuts and students used their prior and new knowledge of natural disasters and wind damage to create structures that could withstand hurricane force winds (a blow dryer in this case!) 💨
Last week students cleared out the snow peas and snap peas raised bed planter and planted carrots, radishes, kale, and zucchini seeds. They have sprouts! Students were so excited to find radish and zucchini sprouts! 🌱
Store basil vs. garden basil… Store cucumbers vs. our garden cucumbers… The results are in, & our garden herbs and cucumbers were voted THE best for size, smell, and taste! Great day of discovery (and tasting 😋)! 🥒🌱 @KeyportSchools @KSD_Curriculum
