Creative Writing Workshop! ✍️

Our KHS Life Skills class has been hard at work this week, getting their hands dirty to finish a very special project. We are thrilled to announce that the final plants have been tucked into their new homes, officially completing our Living Wall!
This project is about so much more than just decoration. These students aren't just gardeners—they are the stewards of this living space. By planting, watering, and tending to this vertical garden, they are learning:
Responsibility: Understanding the daily needs of living things.
Sustainability: Seeing firsthand how plants improve our indoor environment.
Teamwork: Working together to create something beautiful for the entire school to enjoy.

Teen Arts Festival 2026!

So honored to be at Monmouth University's Climate Change Learning Collaborative Culminating Event to network with other schools, showcase our climate based work, and honor Gia as she was recognized for her leadership role on the student advisory board. ❤️ 🌎 🌱

Making cultural connections! Our ESL class welcomed our new student from Egypt by studying how the Moorish conquest of Iberia resulted in about 10% of Spanish words coming from Arabic. Together they made a poster with some of the words that they share in their two languages!

Had a great time at yesterday's Bilingual Advisory meeting!!! Hope everyone had fun and learned a lot!

Fettuccine Alfredo, Delicious ... 🍝

Under the care of our Life Skills Class, the KHS Living Wall is thriving! 🪴 Thanks to this crew for making our indoor green space a great place to relax and reset in between classes!

From Tower to Table!! Thank you to Mrs. Lattinelli's Culinary II Class! Our KHS Culinary Students put their skills to good use today for a cooking demo. Using greens harvested straight from our middle school hydroponic tower, these student chefs showed us how to transform a vertical harvest into a delicious dish. It was a great day of hands-on learning after utilizing some high-tech gardening. We love seeing our students share their passion for fresh, sustainable cooking!

Productive morning sharing the KHS Living Wall Care Guide with the Life Skills Class so they could dive right in and become the environmental stewards of our hallway treasure! 🌱 Amazing group of students!

The deadline to purchase a KHS yearbook is approaching! Make sure to buy one as soon as possible.
