Principal Evaluation

As part of the federal requirements for states receivng funding under Phase 2 of the State Fiscal Stablization Funds Program, all school districts in New Jersey are providing information to the public on the procedures they use to evaluate teachers and principals.

Similar our teacher evaluation procedure, our principals, vice-principals and other administrators in the district are evaluated throughout the year. Tenured administrators are evaluated once per year and non-tenured are evaluated three times a year. The evaluation consists of feedback from both the observer and administrator being observed, conferences for follow-up, and commendations and recommendations.
