Adolescent Addiction Recovery at CPC
CPC provides Addiction Recovery services to youths ages 13 to 18 with substance abuse/dependence issues. The program integrates individual, group and family treatment, along with psychiatric services if warranted. The initial approach is to join with the client on the identification of his/her interests and goals and arrive at a treatment plan that is aimed at enhancing motivation to change. The goal is to achieve healthy coping skills and appropriate peer supports in the community.
The program emphasizes techniques for coping with life stressors without substance use. Family involvement is integral to achieving change. In addition, relapse prevention is a regular focus throughout the course of the program.
The program addresses both the mental health and substance abuse needs of adolescents and their families.
Services include:
- Group and Individual Therapy
- Substance Abuse Assessment and Urine Testing
- Family Therapy
- Relapse Prevention
- Case Management
Treatment intensity is decided after assessment of level of need. Treatment can be individual therapy on a weekly basis with additional supports as needed. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) level of care is three days a week after school for three hours per session. One evening includes family group involvement. It is provided at the Helen Herrmann Counseling Center at 270 Highway 35 in Red Bank/Middletown.
