    Mr. Lyons - History Teacher

    JV Basketball Coach / M.S. Baseball Coach

    I am very excited to be apart of the Keyport High School staff.  I am a graduate of Kean University with a degree in History, and an endorsement for Students with Disabilities. This is my 17th year in district, but my 5th as a full-time teacher.  I am ready to see all of my new students in person or through one of the districts digital platforms.  Welcome to the 2020-21 school year !

    U.S. History II students:

    Chromebook in class and charged at all times.  Please have a 3-ring binder and a folder for class.  Students should also try to have highlighter or 4-color pen.  These items assist students with the skill of annotating text / active reading.

    Sports / Activities

    I have coached Basketball at Keyport High School for 17 years. Looking forward to another successful season as JV Head Coach / Varsity Asst. Coach.

    After basketball, the spring brings baseball.  I have been lucky to work at the Middle School, and High School levels for 13 seasons.
