My name is Chris Aviles. I went to Lacey township high school, then graduated from St. Joseph's University in 2006. This is my first year at Keyport but my 15th year teaching. My mission is to harness students' passion for gaming and entrepreneurship and use it to help them become better people and college and career-ready scholars. I will do everything I can to help students be successful in and out of school.
Students can find all of their assignments on Google Classroom which will be our main platform for assigning and turning-in work. Almost all assignments will be project-based. Projects will be broken down into steps with deliverable products that will be counted as minor assignments. Overall personal and project performance will be holistically graded and count as major assignments. Feedback and opportunities to improve on personal and project performance will be given on a regular basis.
