Enrollment: Students can be enrolled throughout the school year. Please be reminded that tuition and registration fees are not prorated. Tuition is based upon an average of days per month, allowing payments to be consistent. Enrolling after the 1st of the month will still require the full monthly tuition.

Scheduling: Your child’s schedule is set at the beginning of the month. For example, if you choose a three day schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and school is closed on Wednesday, you may not choose Thursday instead for that week. With notice, you may add a day for an additional fee.

-Written notice of a scheduling change must be given prior to the beginning of a new month. Your child’s schedule will remain consistent for any subsequent month of  enrollment if no change is noted.

-Extendicare is not available on early dismissal days.

-Children will be permitted to attend after-school activities and then return to the Extendicare program.

Illness: School rules apply. Children are not permitted to attend Extendicare if ill. This includes a heavily running nose, heavy mucus discharge, a heavy cough, pink eye symptoms, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, etc. You are required to have an alternate plan for pick in case of illness.

Allergies: If your child has allergies, extendicare must be informed in writing. Please provide an EpiPen if
                 needed.

Homework: Children will complete their homework at the Extendicare program unless requested otherwise. We will rely on the homework planner and the children’s honesty when assessing their daily homework. If a child refuses to complete their homework assignments, the extendicare teachers will not be responsible that it is incomplete.

Snacks: Afternoon snacks are  provided by the Extendicare program. We encourage students to bring in a snack each day. Snacks are not shared. However, it is critical that any allergies are disclosed so that the proper precautions are taken during our snack time.

Reading: We have a required reading time each day. Please send in a book appropriate for your child’s level and interest.

Personal Belongings: We require that all personal belongings brought into the program be labeled with the child’s name. Extendicare is not responsible for damaged or lost personal items.

Outdoor play: We have an outdoor recess period each day (weather permitting). Please remember to have the students prepared for outside play and that close-toed shoes are recommended.

All school rules and policies apply to the Extendicare program.
