I’m Lindsay Thein the SAC (Student Assistance Counselor) for the district. I’m so excited to be a part of the Keyport School District. I have been working in the field for over 10 years. Prior to coming to Keyport I worked in a few different school districts such as Atlantic Highlands, Little Silver and Keansburg. I’m so excited to be back in the school system after leaving it for a little while, and workingin a psychiatric facility as a social worker. In order to get the appropriate education that I needed I attended Ramapo College for my undergraduate degree in social work and continued on to obtain my graduate degree at MonmouthUniversity. After, graduating with my degree from Monmouth I decided to go back to school and get my Student Assistance Coordinator Cert from Kean Univ.
After finishing all of my schooling I wasn’t sure what to do with my time. I decided to set a goal for myself. That goal was to run a half marathon. I started by running 5k’s and moved on to 10k’s and finally made it to a half. It was such an accomplishment.
