         Hello!  My name is Melanie Stroud and this year I'm your child's fourth grade language arts teacher.  I've been teaching for 23 years, the last 20 of them in Keyport.  I have a degree in English and Elementary Education from Georgian Court University.  
         My husband, two sons, and I live in Toms River.  When I'm not teaching, my boys keep me busy with their many activities.  For enjoyment, I love to go to the beach and READ! 
         I am looking forward to an exciting year of reading and writing with your child.  I believe parents and teachers need to work together as a team to insure their child's success.
